Literature Text

Every night she tries it on,
The dress she'll never get to wear
But she doesn't know

Every night he practices
Saying the words she longs to hear
But He doesn't know

She dreams of the night
The dancers all stop dancing
And notice that she's pretty
But they'll never know

He wishes he had
The courage to stop her and
Say the words and see her smile
But they'll never know

The last night she pulls it on
The dress she'll never get to wear
And this time she knows

The last night he practices
Says the words he'll say tommorow
Now he thinks he knows

She stands on the bridge
And looks out to the water
And all that's left is falling
And he'll never know

He dreams of her face
Of the last time he saw her
Smile, and wished for her
But she'll never know
I wrote it.
It's in honour of my formal dress as well as a girl and a guy that I'll never know, but I'm sure they exist/ have existed/will exist somewhere. Other than my imagination.
The story came through so strong jsut as I wrote the first line.
I guess it just needed to be told again.
ANOTHER Tragic Romance, but I actually think that this one's not half bad.
I'm quite proud of it at the moment.
//.^
Let's hope it stays that way.
